Just starting

Being a former teacher, my first approach to homeschooling was, "How hard can this be?"  Well, when you are working with children that are not your own, in a professional environment, I soon learned this was a lot easier.  Homeschooling our daughter is mentally exhausting for me and scary as I do not want to "mess up" her education. I am constantly researching, planning, and gathering materials.

Starting out on the journey to work with our daughter at home is intimidating, but fun.  Thanks to an amazing friend who has been homeschooling for the past 6-7 years, and some websites I have found, I am not as intimidated by my first year of working with our daughter as I thought I would be.  Thank you to
www.preschoolpalace.org for the amazing job in lesson planning and ideas that they have.  I do plan to use this curriculum the first year and then add in ideas from other websites and modify as needed as we progress along.

I always welcome prayer, thoughts, and new ideas.  As previously mentioned I was a teacher for five years, but circumstances took me away from that, and I can honestly say, I see where God has brought me to a much better place in my life and I am thankful for the journey.

Please join us on our journey into homeschooling, and thank you for taking the time to read our notes.  We will be sharing our ideas and again, welcome yours.
